Serena Phillip is an actor and writer born, bred, and based in New York City. She recently graduated from Tisch Drama double majoring in English with a minor in Creative Writing. Serena trained for three years at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She also studied at the International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam where she studied Grotowski, devising, and mask work under the direction of Kevin Kuhlke and Mary Bitel. Serena also attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia HS of Music, Art, and the Performing Arts where her love for performing was first fostered.

Serena is also a poet, fiction writer, and playwright. In the NYU creative writing program, she had a chance to study with renowned writers Raven Leilani, Rachel Zucker, and Micheal Krimper. Two of her poems have been published by the Greene Street Review and The Weasel Magazine. 

When Serena isn’t working, you can find her drinking matcha and playing sudoku on a bench is Prospect park or going on a long walk with her dog Max!

Recent credits include the Great River Shakespeare Festival’s 2024 Acting Company(u/s Beatrice, Gertrude, Margaret, Guildenstern), The Rover (Hellena) in the 2023 Tisch MainStage, All's Well That Ends Well (Helena) and The Trial of Donna Caine (Donna Caine) at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
